WHAT IS SOPHROLOGY ?

It is the study of the consciousness and the way to help the patient to be positive. The Sophrology has been created by a Colombian psychiatric, Professor Alfonso Caycedo in 1960. He is still alive.
The Sophrology has borrowed to different disciplines: yoga, hypnosis, phenomenology, and psychoanalysis. At the end of the treatment, the patient should feel mmore confident, more optimist. He may build up new projects.

BASIC PRINCIPLES

The relaxation exercises : the consciousness has to work in the peace. A few exercises are suggested to reach a good relaxing mood. A good respiration is fundamental, as well as the reduction of tension with muscles. The patient has to capture the consciousness, first his body, second, of his mental. The procedures of Schultz, Vittoz, Jacobson, or Guirchoun are very efficient to reach this objective.

The exercises on consciousness : in our world, we have really no time to care on our body. It is a simple instrument which has to follow the mind. Professionally, the boss want performances and the staff is driven to loose their life, simply to reach some goals. All kind of circumstances drive to erratic dreams. We live in a material world. The Sophrology utilize the story of each one and, by specific techniques, modify the orientation in a positive way.
